Doctors
Dr Afzal Hussain (m)
I am a highly qualified GP from North West with more than 10-years of vast hospital experience in General Surgery (FRCS), Cardiac Surgery (FCPS) and A/E experience but the last 5-years spent in General Practice have made me realize that I am very good in time management, team working and in documentation. I am patients centred with excellent communication skills well supported by comments on yearly 360-degree appraisal and Pts satisfaction survey over the last few years. I am multi-lingual (Eng, Urdu, Hindi, Punjabi), flexible, relaxed, co-operative with down to earth friendly personality.
I enjoy working in General Practice. The last 12-years working in General Practice has been very stimulating, challenging but rewarding. It requires a lot of devotion, hard work and commitment but the vast clinical experience I gathered over the last 20-years will help me to provide the best of both worlds (hospital care & general Practice) to my patients in primary care. I am fully prepared to do everything possible to achieve the best for my patients. I acknowledge the fact that General Practice is going through a huge change at present but I am confident that with the mutual help and support, I can work well within the New NHS BURY (CCG) to meet these challenges of modern day General Practice. I am the Cancer, Dementia & Asthma Lead for the Practice |

Reception
| Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits. |
