Covid-19 booster vaccinations and access to your GP Practice

Since the Covid lockdown measures have ceased, Covid Booster vaccines are still available and fall in line with the Seasons of the year.  Patients who are eligible for the vaccinations can vary and patients can access the Internet for the cohorts of patients who are eligible or the staff here will be glad to help with any queries you have relating to these vaccines.

Infection Control & Prevention Patient Information 

Our GP practice works hard to keep a clean, safe space for every patient, visitor, and staff member. Preventing infections is everyone's responsibility. You can help us protect our community by following a few simple steps when you visit.

When You Arrive

• Tell us if you feel unwell: If you have a cough, cold, flu symptoms, fever, diarrhea, or vomiting, please let our reception team know immediately upon arrival. [1, 2]
• Wear a face covering: If you have respiratory symptoms, we may ask you to wear a surgical mask to protect others in the waiting room. [1]
• Seating choices: We may ask you to wait in a separate area or a quiet space if you have an infectious illness.

Clean Your Hands

• Use hand gel: Please clean your hands using the alcohol hand sanitiser dispensers provided at the entrance when you arrive and leave. [1]
• Wash with soap: Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water if your hands are visibly dirty or after using the restroom.

Respiratory Hygiene (Catch It, Bin It, Kill It)

• Cover your cough or sneeze: Use a tissue to cover your mouth and nose when you cough or sneeze.
• Bin the tissue: Put used tissues straight into the nearest bin.
• Clean your hands: Wash or sanitise your hands right after throwing the tissue away.

What We Do to Protect You

• Clean the rooms: Our clinical rooms and waiting areas are cleaned regularly using high-grade NHS-approved disinfectants.
• Bare below the elbows: Our doctors, nurses, and clinical staff keep their arms bare below the elbow during patient care. They do not wear wristwatches, stoned rings, or false nails, which allows for effective hand washing.
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Staff may wear gloves, aprons, or masks when carrying out examinations or procedures to block the spread of germs
